🌱 Life Ramblings — Graduating, Going Home, and Why Airports Suck

Almost Home

Monday’s the day, fam.

It’s been an interesting month of school, and on Monday I finally graduate from the class. After that, I’ll be heading home for some hard-earned PTO.
Not gonna lie though — I’m gonna miss the time spent at the school. I definitely prefer it over actually having to work. Lowkey wish I could just be a career student forever.

It’ll be nice to go home and see my family too. I haven’t really been home in what… two and a half years? Almost three? Something like that.

I don’t usually use my leave to actually go home — if I take PTO, it’s usually just to sit around my place and decompress. Mostly because I hate flying. Not even scared of it or anything — I just hate the whole airport process.

And while we’re on that topic — can we talk about how shitty people are to airport workers?
Just because someone isn’t smiling while doing their job does NOT mean they’re rude or disrespectful. Work sucks. Let people be miserable while they do it. Nobody’s obligated to lick your taint and smile 24/7. Fuck off with that.

That said… airports in general still suck. Too many people, too much chaos, and I’m always anxious about making it to where I need to be on time.

Especially big airports.

FUCK Dallas–Fort Worth airport.

When I was traveling to the school I’m at now, American Airlines made me go all the way to the opposite side of the airport to collect my bag — just to send me back to the original terminal to catch my next flight.

How did my bag end up 30 minutes away while I’m sprinting like an idiot trying to make it back in time? Absolute nightmare.
Yeah, fuck that airport for real.

Texas seems cool though.

Anyway — graduation Monday, home soon, and then finally some time to breathe.
