🌙 Daily Pillow Thoughts #4 — Forced Downtime & Quiet Nights
Today’s a bit of a strange one.
Came home from work, logged into Where Winds Meet, and… nothing.
Didn’t feel like gaming at all. I just sat there for a minute, then drifted off into YouTube and YouTube Shorts instead. Honestly, I might actually make it to bed before 2AM tonight for once.
It’s fine though. Calling it a rest day.
Tomorrow I’ll be back on that jianghu grind after work — but tonight? Yeah, tonight is just vibes.
I think I’m still adjusting to being forced to slow down in this game. It’s fun exploring and doing content I normally skip, but it’s also kind of sad not being able to dive into the things I want right away.
For example:
- story locked for days
- 1v1 arena only open at specific times
Which means during weekdays, I only get about an hour to actually throw hands.
Everything else being time-gated? I can live with that.
But the arena mode?
Man, that should’ve been open all day. I love the PvP in this game — but not the battle royale mode. It’s fun, but not the type of PvP I crave like 1v1 duels, GvG, or open world skirmishes.
No game is perfect, and Where Winds Meet is still top tier in my books. I just wish the PvP had a little more freedom.
Maybe it’s just this weird, mellow mood I’m in tonight.
Nothing’s really “hitting,” so I’m going to continue my YouTube rabbit hole until I unknowingly time travel into the AM and wake up as a full-fledged zombie again.
“What’s one thing you’d change or improve in Where Winds Meet? I’d love to know how other players feel about the pacing and PvP availability.”
